Maja Janczar
Maja Janczar (b. 1995) is a Warsaw-based artist and a graduate of the Fine Arts Academy in Warsaw, where she completed her diploma in Jarosław Modzelewski and Jan Mioduszewski’s studios. She works in painting, sculpture and drawing.
Maja draws from the topics of food systems in the context of climate challenges, the possibility of creating human-non-human collectives, and the interiors of Polish homes. She is also part of a flying gallery team, Sen o końcu.
She was honoured at the 45th Painting Biennial Bielska Jesień, and appeared as a finalist at the 19th Artystyczna Podróż Hestii Competition. She is also the scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture, Sport and National Heritage.
